Banana Bread

Preparation Time
20 minutes prep, 60 minutes to bake
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas (about 3 large or 4 small bananas)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- preheat oven to 350; lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan
- in large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt
- in separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar; stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended
- stir banana mixture and nuts into flour mixture; stir just to moisten
- pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for about 65 minutes, until a toothpick or knife inserted in the center comes out clean
- let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out on a wire rack
