Mary Sue's Favorite Pasta

This recipe was given to Tom and I from Mary Sue Sanderlin for our wedding (along with an adorable pasta dish!) -- thanks Mary Sue!!
Preparation Time
Ingredients
- chopped garlic (2 tablespoons; can use garlic from a jar...)
- olive oil (1 tablespoons)
- 1 28 oz can hunt's whole tomatoes (chopped or mashed with a potato masher)
- fresh basil (1/4 cup leaves chopped, or 2-3 tablespoons dried basil)
- sugar (1/4 teaspoon)
- thin pasta (4 cups cooked, drained and rinsed with water)
- fresh parmesan (1/2 cup grated)
Directions
- saute chopped garlic and olive oil on low heat, 5 minutes.
- add chopped tomatoes, basil and sugar.
- simmer on very low for 20 minutes.
- place 1 cup warm pasta on individual serving dishes.
- top with sauce and 2 tablespoons parmesan.
